With over a decade of experience under my belt I pride myself on my talents in event management, customer service content creation, high-end hospitality development, marketing, grassroots marketing, rapid growth development, partnership growth, buzz generation, and idea generation.
My Career in marketing started over 15 years ago when I started traveling with several internationally recognized Drumlines and marching bands. Post college I was quickly recruited to the world renown Harlem Globetrotters, marketing their shows to a new generation of viewers in the United States and Canada. While working with the Harlem Globetrotters, I was given the personal responsibility to lead the sales and marketing team in 14 of the globetrotters biggest markets. Post Globetrotters I was presented with the unique opportunity to join a small but successful team within the Phoenix Suns organization labeled the Sports Entertainment Services Department (or SES for short). During my time in this department of three, we were able to sell over 30% of the season tickets for the Phoenix Suns and generate over $1 Million in revenue for several of the organizations outside entities including FELD Entertainment, the Phoenix Symphony and Arizona Theater Company using only grassroots and guerrilla marketing tactics.
Post Phoenix Suns I was asked to help establish a call center in the Phoenix area for the tech giant Weebly. While working with Weebly I caught the eye of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce. The chamber at the time was looking for someone to help develop the already growing “Silicon Desert”. Throughout my time, I singlehandedly increased web traffic by 40% by creating several programs and blogs that are still referenced in the area. I was also tasked with the maintenance and execution of growing the chambers membership and community. The experience allowed me the opportunity to fine tune my communication and management skills.
In July I left my position at the chamber and joined the startup EventBank to help solve the challenges and limitations of technologies membership based organizations currently use around North America. In my time with this company I have helped the community by bringing software that solves the problems plaguing many membership organizations.
